Whilst the sponge can be rinsed in aquarium water and reused but should be replaced when the cell structure starts to deteriorate
Aqua One Moray 320 filter sponge (416S)
The Moray 320 sponge is for use in the Moray 320 filters. An easy to install mechanical media for this filter, 2 sponge per pack is supplied and it is suggested to clean out or replace the sponge as needed based on personal use. A rough estimate to this would be to check and rinse the sponge weekly or every 2 weeks and replace once rinsing no longer suffices. We suggest replacing every 8 weeks no matter the visual condition to ensure optimal performance from the filters.
