This fine mesh filter media is designed to provide effective mechanical filtration in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Acting as a reliable pre-filter stage, it traps fine waste particles such as fish waste, uneaten food, and debris, helping to reduce nitrogenous waste and improve overall water clarity.
Flexible and easy to use, the filter wool can be cut to size to fit most filtration systems, including hang-on, canister, internal, external, wet and dry, and pond filters. By capturing solids before they reach biological media, it helps protect your filter system and enhances water quality for both fish and plants.
For best performance, replace the wool every 4–6 weeks, or sooner if required.
