CO2 has a very different diffusion behaviour than air which is why standard airline is unsuitable for use with CO2 systems. The JBL ProFlora CO2 Taifun Tube is a specially designed CO2 proof hose suitable for use with most common CO2 systems. Thanks to its special design the ProFlora CO2 Taifun Tube ensures loss free transport of CO2 between the CO2 system and the diffuser.

CO2 hose and connections are best kept as short as possible. The shorter the CO2 tubing, the faster the whole system reacts when any increase or decrease in pressure is applied via the regulator. Even with short hoses any change in pressure settings will have a delayed reaction. Therefore always make small adjustments via the regulator and wait a little before the bubble count in the bubble counter changes.
CO2 hoses harden over time and should be replaced as required.
