Seachem Matrix

Seachem’s matrix is a high capacity, highly porous media providing an enormous surface area of around 700m2/L. This media supports both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria species which means it can harbour all the bacteria needed for a happy, balanced aquarium. Its high porosity and efficiency make it one of the most flexible medias on the market boasting huge surface area, useability in both fresh and salt water all while being completely inert and not breaking down. The bacteria support provided by Matrix makes it capable of removing nitrates, ammonia and nitrite as the same time in the same filter.
